Xuly Bet sky blue jumper with a contrast overlock seam from the 90’s  and a screen print . Lamine Kouyate was at the forefront of fashion upcycling in the 90’s . He was called “The Prince of Pieces ” , scouring the Parisian Flea markets for scarps of fashion to piece together with his trademark red stitch that looks like a spine or as he called it , ” a scar “. The 90’s was a time to rework fashion and create clothes on a budget . Designers like Martin Margiela ,John Galliano and Xuly Bet sourced their ideas from collected fabrics, obsolete items and histories . He was the first designer to have a collaboration with Puma , a first for a sports collab.

This jumper is a great example of this simplicity and honesty to fashion .
