Fully lined striped worsted wool tailored jacket by Vivienne Westwood from the Autumn Winter 1996 “Storm in a Teacup” collection. The jacket has a whimsical asymmetric cut with each half of the jacket cut to a slightly different proportion/angle. The lapels are curved and the left shoulder seam is shorter. The right side of the jacket is less tailored and wraps across with a shawl collar. The flap pockets are curved and built-in to reflect the curved shape of the hem. Finished with enamelled metal orb buttons.
The pink satin lining has a jacquard portrait label of Westwood herself, the Learoyd Huddersfield worsted wool manufacturer’s label and a Union Jack label.
