Fully lined tartan wool skirt suit by Vivienne Westwood from the Autumn Winter 1996 “Storm in a Teacup” collection. The jacket is constructed in 2 parts that come together like armour with ties in the lining. A black velvet sleeve & wide collar with matching flap pocket and a 3 tartan asymmetric jacket with one rounded cap sleeve and a swing cut to one side with cape-like fullness on the back, the other side has a full sleeve and tailored cut. The matching pencil skirt has flaps that button upwards. Featuring large engraved plastic orb buttons and gold metal engraved buttons on the skirt.
The pink satin lining has a jacquard portrait label of Westwood herself, the Lochcarron tartan manufacturer label and a Union Jack label.
